Valor Promedio, Valor Máximo, Valor mínimo con condición

Buenos días, estoy intentando encontrar el valor promedio, máximo, mínimo y la suma que cumplan cierta condición, tengo 2 columnas una tiene una letra y otra el valor, quiero que me encuntre el valor promedio, minimo, suma, maximo de todos los que tienen la letra a, luego letra b y así sucesivamente pero hay una forma de automatizarlo? 

no quiero poner max(si(rango="a"....))

lo que me gustaria es poner max(si rango=k4

donde k4 esta la celda conteniendo la letra con la que hare mi condición :)
