Problema compatilidad ODBC

Hola,

tengo una conexión ODBC de 32 bits en un sistema Windows 7 de 64 bits, de una base de datos antigua (Multibase), y una macro de Excel que accede a la base de datos.

Desde Excel 2007 no hay problemas, pero desde Excel 2010 no accede. Al intentar abrir la conexión muestra un error indicando que la arquitectura no coincide.

He mirado en Internet ytodas las soluciones pasan por usar el administrador de ODBC que está en SYSWOW64, pero es el que uso, y desde Excel 2007 va bien.

¿Hay alguna diferencia o cuestión de compatibilidad entre las dos versiones de Excel?
